about

Marcela Lucatelli, voice
Erik Kimestad Pedersen, trumpet
Henrik Olsson, electric guitar

released July 8, 2017

The four free-improvised pieces focus on intense and brutal sonic collisions that demand all three musicians to exploit all their inventive powers and extended techniques. Lucatelli, Pedersen and Olsson mutate their voices, breaths and the guitar strings into extreme, chaotic soundscapes that still have some twisted sensual quality. Like noisy godzillas that enjoy the Danish hygge in a compact, sweaty space. - Eyal Hareuveni, Free Jazz Blog

It´s inhumanly human noise. (...) It's a record for those who are curious, without prejudice. It's dangerous and thrilling. - Niels Overgård, Jazznyt

Lucatelli is an abstract vocal artist who, with suppressed screams, squeals, rattles and gargles, presents an expression that I have no experience with. She is also an actress, which is a clear point when it comes to being experienced live. The visual expression is both frightening and breathtaking. It gives the extra dimension, where you as a listener and spectator are blown backwards by amazement and admiration. Kimestad creates sounds with the trumpet that are not included in the trumpet manual and Henrik Olsson's unconventional guitar playing is the perfect partner for Lucatelli. It's not music for many. There are many prejudices and ideas to put behind you when you have such an experience. Wild! - Niels Overgård, Jazznyt
